A Retelling of the Birth and Binding of Fenrir.

Fenrir is to Noise as Sanity is to Signal

Fathered of Mischief and birthed by Strife, Fenrir grows to quickly to be contained. He is monstrous however, and will devour reality if not subdued.

Law accepts the burden of his care, but it soon becomes clear that the wolf is uncontrollable and must be bound. Many chains are tried and all of them are sundered.

Wisdom commissions a special chain, a thin chain named Deceiver, and Wisdom challenges Fenrir to break it. Fenrir eyes it suspiciously and agrees on the condition that he be freed if he fail and that someone volunteers to keep a hand in his jaws to bind the promise.

Law volunteers his hand, knowing full well he will loose it. Fenrir struggles against his bonds, but is unable to break them. Wisdom refuses to free him and Fenrir takes the hand of Law.

As he continues to struggle against his bonds, his spittle forms the river Hope.
