Read this myth from the pacific northwest,Raven Steals the Light.

Does it ring familiar? It is one of the multitude of reflections of the Christ archetype. These also include Dionysus, Horus and many more. In fact you would be hard pressed to find a culture that does not incarnate this achetype somewhere in their mythology.

The Trickster defeats the tyrant.

I ruminate on the fact that the dress of clowns is a reflection of the authoritarian uniform of the day. After all, they do wear a tie, boutonniere, and breasted jackets in most cases.

The image of a clown romping through a stock exchange, or better yet, a currency exchange, makes me smile.
